The data purchased or generated by ARTF has been carefully analyzed and will all be used in calculating transfer coefficients (TCs). The ARTF has developed a database, accessible via a web-based server, for handling the data entry, calculations and data analysis. The database began operating in August 2000. Although it did not contain all the data at that time, there was enough data available in some of the crop/activity clusters to provide generic transfer coefficients for risk assessment. The remainder of the data has since been added.
The database allows searching by crops, activities, and growth stage or foliage density. It responds with a description of the relevant crop/activity clusters and then provides generic TCs that have been derived from all relevant reentry exposure studies. The database also allows estimation of TCs after application of protection factors.
